The family of Josette Yakobitis would like to express their profound appreciation and sincerest thankfulness to Tiffany Callio and members of Wyoming Area Kiwanis and Wyoming Area Key Club students who worked very diligently to make the “We Want You Back Yak” event a very successful benefit.

Josette, a support staff of Wyoming Area School District, has been diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a disease that attacks and affects the bone marrow of her body. Proceeds from this benefit will be used to pay for medical expenses associated with this rare form of cancer.

Other volunteers deserving much credit are Juel Ann Klepadlo, Sandra Touw, Amy Casagrande, Mike Coolbaugh, Cathy Coolbaugh,Teddy Rabel, Kathy Youells, Debbie Wharton, and Paula Denisco …

Also, special thanks to Monsignor Sempa and the Corpus Christi parish for all their kind works, prayers and monetary donations as well.

We are so blessed to be surrounded by so many kind people in the community of West Pittston who cared so much for us during this difficult journey we are undergoing currently.

To all those who attended the benefit, thank you.

To all those who donated a monetary gift, thank you.

To all those who encouraged us with a smile, thank you.

To all those who offered emotional support, thank you.

To all those who donated baked goods or food for the benefit, thank you, especially the Tipsy Turtle establishment in Forty-Fort where our daughter Faith works as a food runner as well as members and staff of Fox Hill Country Club where our son Andrew works as a food prep/cook.

Another acknowledgement goes out to Gober’s Deco Lounge in Exeter for their food donations and hospitality, thank you.

To all those who used their creative talents and prepared baskets for the raffle, thank you. There were approximately 80 baskets chanced off at the affair.

Also, thank you to Jack Peck and the Fino Family at Fino’s Pharmacy for literally saving the pain both physically and financially for my wife and family.

Again, we are so overwhelmed by the support we have received and are so blessed to have so many kindhearted and generous people helping us in our time of need.

And last but not least, our immediate circle of family and friends. You are our strength and together we can fight this dreadful disease. Once again, thank you for your love…

Sincerely,

Jerry, Josette, Faith, Andrew, and Michael Yakobitis
