DURYEA — 2017 garbage stickers are available for purchase at the borough building, 315 Main St.
Cost is as follows:
1 bag per week-$100
2 bags per week – $155
3 bags per week – $195
4 bags per week – $235
New stickers are due by Tuesday, Jan. 31 and can be purchased at the borough building during regular hours of 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. There are no longer evening hours at the borough building.
Residents may mail in a payment with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to receive a garbage sticker by mail. Residents must have the 2017 placard displayed in their window to have their garbage collected.
Senior citizens (65 or older, with proof of age) have an option to pay 50 percent of the fee no later than Jan. 31 and the remaining 50-percent no later than July 31.
