AVOCA — The collection of yard waste for borough residents will begin on Tuesday, April 18.
As a reminder, yard waste will be collected on the first and third Tuesday of each month for the season. A maximum of three open containers not to exceed 30 pounds will be allowed per collection.
The following separated items will be collected:
• Grass clippings and leaves

• Shrubs, hedge clippings and tree limbs – not exceeding 3 feet in length and ½ inch in diameter
Rocks, stones, dirt and animal waste are not acceptable forms of yard waste.
Do not use plastic bags or it will be refused.
Place containers curbside by 8 a.m. on collection days.
