EXETER — West Pittston Mayor Tom Blaskiewicz attended Wyoming Area School Board’s meeting this week to present certificates and medals to Wyoming Area Secondary Center students.
The student volunteers helped shovel snow in West Pittston Borough during March’s historic blizzard.
“I’m proud to have the school in our town and I’m very proud of our school district,” Blaskiewicz said. “It was a very stressful period for our borough and the community, and to see those kids was very uplifting and refreshing. I’ll never forget them and I hope this district never forgets them.”
Wyoming Area students Derek Ambrosino, Cameron Carr, Dante DeLuca, Dominic DeLuca, Marc Anthony Minichello, Blaise Sokach-Minnick, Stephen Sokach-Minnick, Brian Williams and Jacob Williams were recognized during the meeting, as were Wyoming Area Football Parents Association’s Carl DeLuca, football Coach Randy Spencer and football Coach Tom Campenni.
