EXETER — Wyoming Area Catholic defeated Clarks Summit’s Our Lady of Peace School 39-33 to win Luzerne County/Lackawanna County Catholic Basketball League’s junior varsity championship.
This is the first time a Luzerne County team has won the championship.
Wyoming Area Catholic was led by Matthew Prociak’s 17 points and Justice Shoats’ 16 points. Andrew Ferguson and Bryce Florey scored nine points each to lead Our Lady of Peace.
