The annual Women’s Society Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. May 28, with the annual brunch held at noon at Fox Hill Country Club, 454 Tunkhannock Ave., Exeter. This event is free to all current members of the society. There is a $10 charge for guests.

The annual picnic will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3 and Friday Aug. 4 and will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5. Entertainment includes Doubleshot from 7 to 11 p.m. on Aug. 3 and 4 and Joe Stanky and the Cadets from 7 to 11 p.m. Aug. 5. Foods being offered include pierogi, pigs in a blanket, halushki, kielbasi, potato pancakes, pizza, hot dogs, sausage and more.
Theme basket donations are being accepted for raffle at this year’s annual picnic. Themes include baby baskets, pets, entertainment, lottery trees, holiday, yard/garden, tools, fitness, summertime fun, toys and more. Baskets can be dropped off at the church hall from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as before and after all weekend Masses.
The annual parish quilt raffle is underway with a quilt made by parishioner Lorraine Harmanos. The quilt has 3 million stitches. Tickets are $2 each, or three for $5. Tickets can be purchased from Lorraine or members of the Women’s Society. The drawing for the quilt raffle will take place at the parish picnic Aug. 5.

Fr. Jackson Pinheiro, OSJ, Administrator, St. Joseph Marello Parish, will lead the recitation of the rosary at St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township, at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 28.
At 10 a.m. Monday, May 29, Fr. Jackson will celebrate an outdoor mass in honor and remembrance of veterans and those laid to rest at St. Rocco’s Cemetery. Chairs will be placed under a tent for those attending. There will be no 11:30 a.m. mass at St. Marello Parish on Memorial Day.

Food includes halushki, potato pancakes, hot dogs, hamburgers, cheesesteaks, porketta, pulled pork, apple pie, fried dough and funnel cake. There will be live entertainment each night, children’s games and a holiday booth that includes decorations for different holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day and others.

The Care and Concern Free Health Clinic is open every Wednesday and is free of charge. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the former Seton Catholic High School and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Patients for The Pediatric Health Clinic opens at 4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday and third Thursday of the month at the Care and Concern facility, 37 William St. Children’s immunization records are required upon registration. Parents or guardians must be present to have their child examined. All services are free and confidential.
