EXETER — Wyoming Area Catholic School primary students recently participated in a fire safety prevention program and demonstration hosted fire companies from Plains Township, West Wyoming, Pittston Tpwnship, Exeter, and Jenkins Township.

The fire fighters from those companies demonstrated fire equipment, taught students how to use a fire extinguisher, extinguished a computer-generated fire and instructed students how to stop, drop and roll.

The Pittston City Fire Department loaned its smoke house for a demonstration and training of the students on the steps to follow in case of a fire.
