PITTSTON TWP. — With the snip of a ribbon Tuesday, Cintas completed its expansion in the CenterPoint Commerce & Trade Park, and the move promises to add dozens of jobs.

According to Maria Scagliotti, director of the Cintas National Accounts Fire Center, Cintas Corp. has been occupying a space at CenterPoint West, but rapid expansion made a second location necessary in CenterPoint East.

“We’ve expanded from 10 partners to 50, and we’re looking to have 100 employees within the next five years,” Scagliotti said.

Cintas’ new location will house the National Accounts Receivable Center, which is responsible for dealing with invoices for Cintas’ customers nationwide. Scagliotti said the original location will still be home to the company’s fire division, which provides fire protection services like installing sprinklers and alarms.

Scagliotti said the approximately 65 new jobs will be entry-level, but will offer room for growth within the rapidly expanding company.

“People see our jobs posted online and they ask me, ‘Is the turnover that high?” Scagliotti said.

“No, we’re just growing that fast.”

While Scagliotti said exact salary information would only be made available during the hiring process, she did say those interested could find information about the jobs on the company’s website, www.cintas.com, or through job posting websites like Indeed.

Cintas leases the spaces it occupies from Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services. The CenterPoint Park in Pittston Township is the company’s largest development, according to a press release.

In the release, Mericle’s vice president Bill Jones spoke about how Cintas’ involvement shines a positive light on Pittston Township.

“Cintas’ decision to first locate in CenterPoint and now expand here speaks volumes about the park, the quality of the region’s workforce and the pro-business attitude in Pittston Township,” he said.
