Patches of fog early this morning will make way for an otherwise sunny day with a calm wind later this afternoon. The high is expected to be near 84.
At 7:15 a.m., the National Weather Service reported it was 57 degrees at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
Tonight will be clear with a low around 56 and a calm wind. Patchy fog will creep into the area after 2 a.m.
More fog will be present before 10 a.m. on Friday. A pleasant day with a high near 83 and a calm wind becoming southwest will take over in the afternoon. Friday night the low will be around 59 with a south wind from 3 to 5 mph.
The warm and sunny trend will continue into the weekend with a high of 81 on Saturday. Chances of showers will creep in overnight with a chance of precipitation at 30 percent.
