Some areas of traffic congestion, particularly in downtown Wilkes-Barre, could add some time onto the commute.
In the downtown area, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on several streets. Affected streets include:
• Wilkes-Barre / South Wilkes-Barre boulevards
• Hazle Street
• North / South Main streets
• East Northampton Street
• East / West Market streets
• North / South River streets
Elsewhere, free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476, while scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Routes 315 and 115.
The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of traffic congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.
In Kingston, heavy traffic is reported on Market Street near 3rd Avenue, while scattered heavy congestion is reported throughout Wyoming Avenue stretching into Edwardsville.
