Average gas prices for Dec. 29

The state’s average gas price dipped slightly overnight, while the local and national averages held steady.

AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following data for today’s average gas prices:

• Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $2.19 today, unchanged overnight and down 3 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.52 today, down a penny overnight.

• Pennsylvania gas average at $2.17 today, down a penny overnight and down 3 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.53 today, unchanged overnight.

• National gas average at $2.00 today, unchanged overnight, down a penny in the last week. Diesel at $2.27 today, unchanged overnight.
