Average gas prices for Jan. 5

Average gas prices didn’t budge overnight.

AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following data for today’s average gas prices:

• Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $2.17 today, unchanged overnight and down 2 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.51 today, up a penny overnight.

• Pennsylvania gas average at $2.16 today, unchanged overnight and down a penny in the last week. Diesel at $2.50 today, unchanged overnight.

• National gas average at $1.99 today, unchanged overnight, down a penny in the last week. Diesel at $2.24 today, down a penny overnight.
