WILKES-BARRE — Sunshine and cooler temperatures are expected in the Wyoming Valley throughout the weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 49 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast skies were reported.
Mostly cloudy skies will gradually clear today, and the high will be near 51. Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 34.
Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 56. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 41.
Mostly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 52. Mostly clear skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 32.
