Rain is expected in the Wyoming Valley today, but sunshine will return as the weekend approaches.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 46 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and light rain was reported.

Rain is likely before 11 a.m. today, followed by a chance of drizzle after 11 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the high will be near 51.

Partly cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, with a low around 33.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, with a high near 53. Mostly clear skies will follow into Thursday night, with a low around 41.

Partly sunny skies are expected on Veterans day, with a high near 51. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Friday night, with a low around 30.
