Sunshine and cooler temperatures are expected in the Wyoming Valley through the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 38 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and partly cloudy skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 52. Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 42.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Veterans Day on Friday, with a high near 51. Mostly clear skies will follow into Friday night, with a low around 29.

Sunny skies are expected on Saturday, with a high near 45. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 30.

Sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 52. Mostly clear skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 32.
