Rain and warmer temperatures are in the forecast for the Wyoming Valley through the midweek.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 50 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and light rain was reported.
Rain is expected today, and up to a half an inch of total rainfall is possible. Gusty winds are also possible, and gusts could reach speeds as high as 22 mph. Today’s high will be near 54.
Rain will be likely before 10 p.m. tonight, followed by a chance of showers into early Wednesday morning. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the low will be around 47.
Rain will once again be likely after 7 a.m. on Wednesday, and up to three quarters of an inch of rainfall is possible. The high will be near 57.
Rain will continue to be likely before 10 p.m. Wednesday night, with up to a quarter of an inch of rain possible. The low will be around 44.
Partly sunny skies will return on Thursday, but there will also be a slight chance of showers. The high will be near 47.
Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Thursday night, with a low around 34.
