Rain and warmer temperatures are expected to stick around the Wyoming Valley as the weekend approaches, but the region could see some snow on Friday night.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 50 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fog and mist reported.
Rain is expected after 9 a.m. today, and up to three quarters of an inch of total rainfall is possible. The high will be near 54.
Rain will continue to be likely before 2 a.m. tonight, followed by scattered showers overnight. Up to a quarter of an inch of rainfall is possible, and the low will be around 45.
Partly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, along with isolated showers after 8 a.m. The high will be near 46.
Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, with a low around 34.
Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 45.
