The Wyoming Valley could see some rain and snow into the holiday weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 33 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and light snow was reported.
Rain and snow is likely this morning, and will become all rain after 1 p.m. Up to 2 inches of snow is expected, and today’s high will be near 38.
Mostly cloudy skies will follow tonight, along with a slight chance of rain and snow showers before 8 p.m. and a slight chance of snow showers overnight. The low will be around 28.
Cloudy skies will round out the week on Friday, along with a slight chance of snow showers after 7 a.m. The high will be near 33.
Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Friday night, along with a chance of snow showers between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Less than half an inch of snow is expected, and the low will be around 21.
Saturday will bring mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 35.
Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Saturday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers after 8 p.m. The low will be around 29.
Mostly sunny skies are expected on New Year’s Day, along with with a 30 percent chance of snow showers before 8 a.m. The high will be near 39.
Sunday night will also bring mostly cloudy skies, along with a 30 percent chance of snow showers before 8 p.m. The low will be around 29.
