Mixed precipitation is expected to stick around the Wyoming Valley today, followed by rain into the latter part of the week.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 34 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and light snow and fog were reported.

Luzerne County remains under a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. today.

Rain and snow is expected before 10 a.m. this morning, followed by rain and sleet between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Winds could also gust as high as 21 miles per hour. Less than a half an inch of snow and sleet accumulation is expected, and the high will be near 37.

A chance of snow is predicted before 7 p.m. tonight — otherwise, cloudy skies will gradually become partly cloudy. Little or no snow accumulation is expected, and the low will be around 32.

Wednesday will bring partly sunny skies, with a high near 43.

Clouds will return into Wednesday night, with showers likely after 1 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the low will be around 39.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted Thursday, along with a slight chance of showers. The high will be around 43.

Thursday night will also bring mostly cloudy skies, with a low around 31.
