Sunny skies and colder temperatures are expected for the Wyoming Valley this weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 22 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and partly cloudy skies were reported.

Partly sunny skies will stick around today, along with scattered showers between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Less than a half of snowfall accumulation is expected. Winds could also gust as high as 21 mph. Today’s high will be near 31.

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight, along with a chance of flurries before 7 p.m. The low will be around 16.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 27. Mostly clear skies will carry over into Saturday night, with a low around 10.

Mostly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 37. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 25.
