More snow is predicted for the Wyoming Valley this weekend, along with some mixed precipitation.
The temperature could even climb up to 40 degrees by Sunday.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 19 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and mostly cloudy skies were reported.
Areas of blowing snow are possible today, as wind gusts of up to 29 mph are expected. Partly sunny skies are expected otherwise, and the high will be near 30.
Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 15.
Mostly sunny skies will wrap up the week on Friday, with a high near 36.
Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Friday night, along with a 50 percent chance of snow after midnight. Around an inch of new snowfall accumulation is expected, and the low will be around 28.
Snow is likely before 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by a chance of rain and snow. No snowfall accumulations have been predicted. The high will be near 38.
Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Saturday night, along with a chance of rain and snow before 8 p.m. The low will be around 28.
Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Sunday, with a high near 40. Partly cloudy skies will carry over into Sunday night, with a low around 22.
