The Wyoming Valley could see some rain through Wednesday, but sunshine and warm temperatures are primarily expected.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 56 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, but there will be a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Today’s high will climb near 80.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, along with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of rainfall is expected, but more could fall in thunderstorms. Tonight’s low will be around 53.

A 30 percent chance of showers is expected before 10 a.m. Wednesday. Otherwise, cloudy skies will gradually become mostly sunny. The high will be near 63.

Wednesday night will bring mostly clear skies, with a low around 39.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, with a high near 60. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, with a low around 39.
