Sunny skies and hot temperatures will stick around the Wyoming Valley as the week rolls along, but the chance of showers and thunderstorms will return by Thursday.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 46 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 75. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 58.

Wednesday is expected to bring sunny skies, with a high near 88. Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Wednesday night, with a low around 66.
