The forecast in the Wyoming Valley looks quiet, but the chance of showers will return on Wednesday night and into Thursday.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 51 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Patchy fog is expected before 8 a.m. today, with partly sunny skies expected throughout the remainder of the day. Today’s high will be near 74.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, with a low around 52.

Sunny skies are expected on Wednesday, with a high near 76.

Clouds are expected onto Wednesday night, along with a slight chance of showers before 2 a.m. before becoming likely into Thursday morning. Up to a quarter of an inch of rainfall is possible, and the low will be around 58.

Thursday is expected to bring a 60 percent chance of showers, but rainfall amounts have not yet been predicted. The high will be near 65.

Rain is expected to follow into Thursday night, with a low around 57.
