A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms will linger in the Wyoming Valley as the weekend approaches.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 60 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast skies were reported.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible before 4 p.m. today, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Partly sunny skies are expected otherwise, and today’s high will be near 75.

Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, along with isolated showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m. The low will be around 55.

Mostly sunny skies are expected on Thursday, with a high near 71.

Partly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, along with a slight chance of showers after 1 a.m. The low will be around 51.

Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, along with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high will be near 74.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Friday night, along with a chance of showers. The low will be around 56.
