Sunny skies on Saturday are likely to give way to rain and thunderstorms Sunday.
The National Weather Service reported a temperature of 73 degrees as of 10:30 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
According to the NWS, the rest of the day will be mostly sunny, with highs creeping up to around 85 degrees. Wind speeds will be around 11 miles per hour.
Tonight, both the wind speeds and the temperatures will die down. Lows tonight will be around 57 degrees. Wind speeds will calm to around 5 to 7 miles per hour. Skies will be partly cloudy.
Tomorrow, there will be a slight chance of showers between 1 and 3 p.m. before a slight chance of thunderstorms after 3 p.m. However, with a chance of percipitation at only 20 percent, it’ll be mostly sunny skies for the rest of the day, with a high of 79.
Sunday night will be partly cloudy, with a low of around 53.
Monday will have a slightly higher chance of showers and thunderstorms around 2 p.m., with a high of 73.
Monday night, the temperatures drop to a low around 52. Chance of percipitation is around 40 percent, with showers and thunderstorms possible.
