Larksville-based Grasshopper Lawns Inc. donated its services to care for the Luzerne County Courthouse grounds in Wilkes-Barre Friday as part of a national “day of service” event encouraged by the National Association of Landscape Professionals, county Manager C. David Pedri announced.

“We are happy to assist the Luzerne County Courthouse grounds with a donation of aeration, fertilizing, weed control and lime,” Grasshopper Lawns owner Michael Kravitsky IV said in a release.

Family owned and operated, the business has participated in the event since it originated in 2005 to improve local grounds and help the community, the release said.

Pedri said he appreciates the company’s donation of time and resources.
