Barber recognized for academics
BLOOMSBURG — Allison Barber, Pittston, was recently recognized by the Division II Athletic Directors Association for work in the classroom with a 2017-18 Academic Achievement Award.
Thomas studies abroad
SCRANTON — Brittany Thomas, Exeter, was among the 43 University of Scranton students who studied abroad during the Summer 2018 semester.
Thomas, a neuroscience major at Scranton, participated in the Danish Institute for Study Abroad Summer Courses in Copenhagen, Denmark.
A boy was born to Tiffany Jordan and Eric Quinn, Pittston, on Aug. 23.
A girl was born to Beth and Jeremy Connor, Exeter, on Aug. 30.
