Together with their families, Carly Elizabeth Sokach and Zachary John Kosak announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Stephen J. and Jeriann T. Sokach, of West Pittston. She is the granddaughter of Judith Sokach and the late Stephen E. Sokach, of West Pittston, as well as the late Nancy and Joseph Katany, of Mountain Top. She is a 2011 graduate of Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology and Classical Studies in 2015 from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She is currently in her final year of medical school at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and plans to enter the field of Internal Medicine.

The groom-to-be is the son of Neil A. and Lynne S. Kosak, of Center Moreland. He is the grandson of Margery and John Stephenson, of Center Moreland, as well as the late Ruth and Thomas Ide, of Dallas. He is a 2011 graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School. He earned his Bachelor of Sciences degrees in Biology and Neuroscience as well as a minor in Theology in 2015 from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre. He is currently in his final year of medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and plans to enter the field of Family Medicine.

The couple will celebrate their marriage on May 25, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church in West Pittston.
