Breakfast with Santa

The annual PTG Breakfast with Santa will be held on Monday, Dec. 3 in the school cafeteria at. Pictures with Santa will be taken. Students may dress in their “Christmas/Sunday Best.”

Advent Retreat

Every year, students in Grades 4-8 participate in an Advent Retreat. Advent, from Latin meaning “coming,” is a time of waiting and preparing for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas.

Teachers and students will take part in a prayer service, play Advent or Saint Bingo, create and design Christmas cards as well as construct a Nativity ornament for the residents of Wesley Village in Pittston and watch a short movie about the spiritual season of Advent.

Christmas Concert and Living Nativity

Students in grades pre-kindergarten to eighth grade will perform their annual Christmas concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 in the school auditorium. The concert, under the direction of Mr. Jackson Fiore, music teacher, will include a variety of traditional Christmas carols as well as some contemporary Christmas songs.

The eighth-grade students will also enact the Nativity according to the gospel of St. Luke. Students in grades 4-8 will enhance this presentation with Christmas carols.

Students in eighth grade will present our yearly performance of the Living Nativity at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. This manger scene, with live animals, will take place in front of our school at 1690 Wyoming Avenue in Exeter.

Santa Secret Workshop

Students at Wyoming Area Catholic School will have the opportunity to shop for Christmas presents for their parents and other family members on Tuesday, Dec. 11 in the school cafeteria.

Performance for Wesley Village

Students in fourth and fifth grades have been invited to perform a Christmas program for the residents of Wesley Village, an assisted living facility in Pittston. Under the direction of Mr. Jackson Fiore, music teacher, along with homeroom teachers Mrs. Josie Toomey and Mr. James Renfer, the students will display a variety of talents through song, narration and musical instruments.
