EXETER — Following is the schedule for Catholic Schools Week (Jan. 27 – Feb. 1) at Wyoming Area Catholic School
JAN. 27
Mass – 11 a.m.
All students and their parents are expected to attend with the exception of Student Ambassadors who will speak at their parishes. Students will wear Mass uniforms.
Open House – Noon to 2 p.m.
Families will have the opportunity to tour our school with teachers, parents and student representatives. Various clubs and organizations will be available to speak with our visitors. Refreshments will be served. Frankie Warren from Magic 93 will broadcast live during Open House.
JAN. 28
GEOGRAPHY BEE in the morning.
TALENT SHOW in the afternoon. Students in Grades 1 through 8 who signed up and turned in a permission to participate form signed by a parent will showcase their talents.
Students will wear school uniforms today.
JAN. 29
HEALTH FAIR today. Students may dress down and are asked to wear sneakers as they will take part in physical activities associated with good health.
JAN. 30
WACky Olympics/Spirit Day/Student Appreciation
Students will wear blue and white to show their school spirit. Basketball style pants and Spirit Wear are permitted today (no shorts). WACKY OLYMPICS will be held in the morning.
JAN. 31
CRAZY HAT/CRAZY SOCKS Day – a perfect way to combine “spirit” and “service”
Students may wear a crazy hat and/or crazy socks with their uniform today. Wear a favorite spring cap (may be sports-related or one of your own design) and donate a new sports cap, either plain or with team logo (toddler to teen). Wear a favorite pair of crazy socks and donate a pair of athletic or dress socks (toddler to teen). Wear both and donate both. All donated items will benefit the Greater Pittston Area Kids Closet.
NED Show at 1 pm.
FEB. 1
Students will take part in a School Choice Dance and play Catholic Schools Week BINGO. Students may Dress Down today.
Teacher Appreciation Day
Students will be dismissed at 11 a.m. (After-school care 11 am to 5:45 pm).
FEB. 2
W.A.C.S. Annual Night at the Races
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. – Post time 7 p.m. (Adults 21 years of age or older only) Honored Guest/MC: Frankie Warren from Magic 93.
