The Wyoming Area Kiwanis Club provided funds for children in reduced lunch programs at Wyoming Area Elementary schools to receive lunches without cost.

The Wyoming Area Kiwanis Club and Key Club utilize the high school cafeteria for their annual Breakfast with Santa. In an effort to give back to the district, the club became aware that some students were unable to afford meals every day because of the cost. According to President Kevin Murphy, the club agreed to use some of the profits from the breakfast to enable students with reduced cost lunches to receive their meals without cost by donating funds to the cafeteria, keeping in line with the Kiwanis International program Young Children: Priority 1.

Cafeteria Manager Melissa Collevechio accepted the donation and said, to date, 25 families have been helped by the donation and thanked the club for its generosity to Wyoming Area children and their families.
