WEST PITTSTON — The combined American Legions of West Pittston and Exeter will sponsor a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27 starting at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Linden Street and Wyoming Avenue in West Pittston and ending at Wyoming Area Catholic’s gym on Wyoming Avenue in Exeter.
The program will include taps by the Paci Band and a selection from the Wyoming Area Band. The parade is open to all local civic groups and veterans.
Rear Admiral Scott F. Giberson is this year’s honored guest and speaker for the West Pittston and Exeter Memorial Day parade and program. Giberson is a 25-year active duty officer, currently serving as assistant U.S. Surgeon General. Giberson grew up in West Wyoming and graduated from Wyoming Area High School.
