Kipp graduates from DeSales
CENTER VALLEY — Ashley R. Kipp, of Pittston, received a B.S.N. in Nursing, Magna Cum Laude from DeSales Univeristy on May 18.
Gattusso leads team
WILKES-BARRE — Kyle Gattuso, of Pittston, was a member of Sidu School of Business and Leadership team that placed third in the fifth annual Chicago Quantitative Alliance (CQA) Investment Challenge. Gattuso was the team leader and attended the CQA Institute’s Advanced Investment Management Course. The institute, held at Wilkes in May, is a two-week course for undergraduates that is taught by the experienced professionals who are CQA members. The competition is an equity portfolio management competition that offers students the opportunity to learn and apply stock selection and portfolio management skills in a simulated, real-life hedge fund experience. The challenge ran from the end of October 2018 through the end of March 2019.
Kochanowski named to dean’s list
MANSFIELD — Raechel Kochanowski, of Duryea, has been named to the fall 2019 dean’s list at Mansfield University.
Pozaic graduate from WPT
WORCESTER, MA — Carrie Pozaic, of West Wyoming, received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering with high distinction degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute May 11.

Mazurkivich commissioned
SCRANTON — Stephen Mazurkivich, of West Wyoming, a member of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s (GCSOM) MD Class of 2019 received a military commission during a ceremony in May. Mazurkivich, second lieutenant in the United States Air Force Reserve, was commissioned captain, United States Air Force Reserve.
