KINGSTON – Wyoming Seminary students Emily Aikens, of Jenkins Township, a sophomore, and Mya Dobrowolski, of Allentown, a junior, recently completed the Furman University Top Mock Summer Mock Trial program, held in Greenville, South Carolina.
Aikens received a Best Attorney Award, one of two such awards presented. She also received the Red Envelope Award, one of two such awards, which gives her the opportunity to compete in the 2020 Gladiator Stand Up Mock Trial Competition in Newport Beach, Calif.
The Gladiator competition is an international invitation tournament open to the most outstanding Mock Trial competitors from around the world. The Furman University Top Mock program is one of the oldest and most prestigious summer programs for high school mock trial competitors and is a highly selective program run by Furman’s award-winning collegiate Mock Trial team.
