PITTSTON — After 10 years at the Scranton Iron Furnace, Keystone Iron Works will bring its iron pour to the City of Pittston.
The Pittston Arts Council met recently to plan the first Iron pour in Pittston. Keystone Iron Works and the Pittston Arts Council are pleased to present an iron tile and performance pour in The City of Pittston on Saturday, Oct. 12 from noon to 5 p.m, at the Pittston Memorial Library, 47 Broad St..
The public is invited to make a small cast iron tile the day of the event and at the next two Pittston City Second Friday Art Walks. Local and national artists, along with students from Marywood University and The University of Scranton, will cast sculptures and answer questions about the process of iron casting.
