Students with perfect attendance for the month of September were recognized at Pittston Area’s Martin F. Quinn Primary Center. The attendance rate is important because students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend school consistently. It’s difficult for the teacher and the class to build their skills and progress if a large number of students are frequently absent. Two hundred and thirty-one children, that’s 54 percent of the entire student population, had perfect attendance for the month of September. Each student received a special Brag Tag to add to their collection. Attend school today and achieve tomorrow. Shown here are students in Mrs. Chantelle Antal’s kindergarten class. From left, first row, are Andrew Sperazza, Keaton Dotzman, Anya Nemic, Macie Lohrmann, Audrina Griffin, Carley Nalaschi, Carter Reiss, Joseph Walsh-O’Boyle, and Hannah MacRae. Second row, Leah Farruggia, Matthew Adametz, Austin Sherin, Barrett Weinschenk, Caden Rossi, Clare Hogan, Justin Oliveri, and Lennon Lokuta. Third row, Mrs. Chantelle Antal.
