1st Lt. Jeffrey DePrimo American Legion Post 542 in West Pittston recently provided over $3,000 in financial support to a number of local organizations in fulfillment of the Legion’s obligation to make their hometown a better place to live, particularly for children, youth, and veterans. Post 542 donated proceeds from its poppy sales and other fundraisers to Care and Concern Free Health Clinic, Kids Clothes Closet, Greater Pittston Food Pantry, Pediatric Health Clinic, Boy Scout Troops 303 and 352, First United Methodist Church food pantry, Corpus Christi youth, Salvation Army, YMCA summer youth program, VA Canteen fund and Patriots Cove.
