PITTSTON – Pittston City’s Downtown Partnership and the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to bring, what they believe, will be the best Small Business Saturday for consumers in many years.

New for 2019 is The 12 Shops of Christmas Scavenger Hunt which begins at 10 a.m. on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30, and ending at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 with a drawing at the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce. The winner will take home a basket of gift certificates and prizes valued over $500.

The Scavenger Hunt is free and open to the public with no fee for businesses to participate.

Small Business Saturday has been established as the day after Black Friday dedicated to supporting locally owned small business helping create jobs along with boosting the economy.

According to Chamber officials, players must visit at least 12 participating shops listed on a game board where they would receive a stamp from the business with the shop’s logo. Game boards may be obtained from participating shops or by visiting the Chamber’s website (www.pittstonchamber.org).

Participating shops will have a separate door prize for participants to be entered in to win.

All entries should be completed with a minimum of 12 store logos and dropped off at Art e Fekts Gallery, 71 S. Main St., or the Chamber office, 104 Kennedy Blvd., before Dec. 17.

The drawing will take place and broadcast live at the Chamber on Dec. 17 and on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

All participating merchants will be listed on the Chamber’s website.
