Crestwood rallied with a pair of second-half goals Saturday to defeat Wyoming Area 2-1 at Wilkes-Barre Area in a playoff for the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 title.

The Lady Warriors won the previous two division titles and got a shot at another when they finished tied for first place in the 11-team division with a 9-1 record.

Wyoming Area led 1-0 at halftime on the strength of a Lucia Campenni goal, off a Juliana Siani assist, with 3:19 left in the first quarter.

Crestwood came out on top of the evenly played game by scoring twice 1:45 apart early in the second half.

Allie Myers tied the game on an assist from Alex Geiger.

Myers then assisted on the game-winner by Kasey Obes with 11:13 left in the third quarter.

Both teams finished with six shots.

Wyoming Area had a 6-5 advantage in penalty corners.

Mackenzie Kovaleski and Lexi Zabroski each made defensive saves for the Lady Comets.

Wyoming Area goalie Rylee Muniz made two saves.

Both teams have landed top seeds and quarterfinal byes for upcoming playoffs.

Crestwood, which lost sole possession of the division lead when it fell 1-0 at Lackawanna Trail Tuesday, is 15-2-2 going into the District 2-4 Class 2A Subregional.

Wyoming Area (14-3) will try to defend its District 2 Class A title.

Wyoming Area 6, Honesdale 1

Wyoming Area closed the regular season on an eight-game winning streak with Tuesday’s road win in WVC Division 1 play.

Lucia Campenni and Talia Pizano each scored twice in the win.

Ella Campenni, who had an assist, and Sophia Risley also scored.

Nina Belza had three assists and Claudia Rehill had one.

The final WVC Division 1 standings were: Crestwood 9-1, Wyoming Area 9-1, Lackawanna Trail 8-2, Lake-Lehman 8-2, Wyoming Valley West 5-5, Honesdale 4-6, Wilkes-Barre Area 4-6, Wyoming Seminary 4-6, Hazleton Area 3-7, Abington Heights 1-9, Delaware Valley 0-10.

Pittston Area 2, Tunkhannock 1

Milania Widdick assisted the first goal, then scored the game-winner in the third quarter as Pittston Area closed out the regular season on a five-game winning streak with Tuesday’s WVC Division 2 win at Tunkhannock.

Lola Serino also scored. Giuliana Latona had the other assist.

Pittston Area is 10-8 overall heading into the District 2-4 Class 2A Subregional.

Final WVC Division 2 standings: Dallas 13-1, Wallenpaupack 13-1, Pittston Area 9-5, Nanticoke 9-5, Tunkhannock 6-8, Holy Redeemer 4-10, Berwick 1-12-1, Hanover Area 0-13-1.

Dallas defeated Wallenpaupack 1-0 in a Friday playoff to decide the division title.
