EXETER — Wyoming Area sophomore standout tennis player Brianna Pizzano was recently named a 2017 Esmark All-American honoree based on her outstanding athletic and academic achievements and community service.
Esmark All-American honors students athletes from across the country in 16 major varsity sports each year for their skill, character and commitment on and off the field. It is led by President Mike Tomczak, former NFL quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears.
Pizzano, of Exeter, repeated as District 2A Girls Singles Tennis Champion in 2017 after taking the title in 2016, the school’s first in its history, to reach the PIAA State Tournament for the second straight year.
She is also a member of the Wyoming Area girls varsity softball team.
