Four players and five coaches from Pittston Area’s state championship team will be together one more time Wednesday at 5 p.m. when the 42nd annual Robert L. Dolbear East-West Senior All-Star Softball Game is played at Misericordia’s Anderson Field in Dallas.
Tori Para, Sage Weidlich, Skylar Borthwick and Jiana Moran will represent the Lady Patriots on the field for the East team. Frank Parente will serve as head coach with a staff of his Pittston Area assistants, Michael Callahan, Kim Roman, Jess Parente and Anthony Bellino.
The East team will also feature players from Holy Redeemer and Wilkes-Barre Area.
Crestwood’s Dave Koptcho will coach the West team, which features his players along with those from Berwick, Lake-Lehman, Nanticoke, Northwest and Wyoming Valley West.
The game was moved from its usual Back Mountain Little League field location because Back Mountain is hosting district playoffs with the baseball pitcher’s mound in place.
Rain date has been set for Thursday at 5 p.m.
