Wyoming Area’s Halle Kranson was the only player to score twice Thursday night when the Wyoming Valley Conference held a senior all-star soccer doubleheader at Wyoming Seminary’s Nesbitt Stadium.
Kranson scored two goals and teammate Anna Wisnewski added one for the White in a 5-2 victory over the Black in the girls game to open the doubleheader.
The teams were tied, 1-1, at halftime.
Wisnewski put White ahead to stay on a goal with 36:45 left, then Kranson followed 2:38 later to make it 3-1.
Kranson’s other goal, with 7:07 left, boosted the lead to 5-1.
“We all just put it together, had fun and got the result we wanted, which is even better,” Kranson said.
Olivia Allen and Sofia Sabatini also represented Wyoming Area.
Wyoming Area players were joined on the White squad by seniors from Crestwood, Nanticoke, Hanover Area, Wilkes-Barre Area and Wyoming Seminary.
The Black had players from Wyoming Valley West, Lake-Lehman, Dallas, Tunkhannock and Holy Redeemer.
Wyoming Area players were also on the winning side in the boys game when Black beat White, 2-1.
Kendall Heck, Daniel Elkin, Casey Noone, Dylan Kostik, Braiden Kostik and Hayden Foland represented the Warriors on a team that also included players from Crestwood, Wilkes-Barre Area, Holy Redeemer, Wyoming Seminary and Nanticoke.
The White had players from Dallas, Lake-Lehman, Tunkhannock and MMI Prep.
