Cassie Hintze won four events Monday when Pittston Area routed visiting Wyoming Valley West, 128-48, in a Wyoming Valley Conference girls swimming meet.
Hintze was one of six Lady Patriots to win at least one individual event. She finished first in the 50- and 500-yard freestyles and was part of wins in both freestyle relays.
Gisella Dauchert (200) and Molly Fetchko (100) each won a freestyle race and were also on both freestyle relay wins.
Kaitlyn Kozlowski, who was part of the 400 freestyle relay win, won the 100 butterfly.
Alex Mortimer won diving while Daniella Bermudez won the 100 backstroke.
Bella Petrucci was on the 200 freestyle relay.
The Lady Patriots used the win to return to even their record at 4-4.
Wyoming Valley West 102, Pittston Area boys 58
Ryan Hintze, in the 100-yard freestyle, and Jake Grzech, in the 100 backstroke, were the Pittston Area winners during Monday’s home WVC meet.
The Patriots are 3-5.
Berwick 103, Wyoming Area girls 76
Wyoming Area (2-4) lost at home Tuesday.
Maddie Johnson won the 100-yard butterfly for the Lady Warriors and was on the winning 200 medley relay team.
Berwick 56, Wyoming Area boys 46
Tommy Lynch won the 200-yard individual medley and 100 breaststroke while also taking part in a relay win, but the Warriors remained winless when they lost at home Wednesday.
