Marc Minichello won a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I title in the javelin last season for the University of Pennsylvania.
Now, Minichello is winning meets at the University of Georgia and preparing for next weekend’s Southeast Conference Championships while studying law in graduate school.
In the most recent meet April 29, Minichello won the LSU Invitational, competing against throwers from LSU, Baylor, Florida and Mississippi, as well as unattached entries, all by more than 10 feet with a heave of 248-2.
Minichello had a throw of 264-6, second-best in the country while winning the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. earlier in the month.
