The Gianna Adams no-hitter streak continues.

Pittston Area has won its first four softball games of the season, all Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 contests.

Adams, who opened the season with a perfect game, has thrown a no-hitter in all four games. She was perfect again in her latest outing.

The Lady Patriots have won each game by shutout. Adams has allowed just two base runners and only one ball out of the infield.

The offense is also on a roll, scoring 48 runs.

Pittston Area leads WVC Division 1 and is first among the seven teams in the race for the top seed in the District 2-4 Class 5A Subregional.

Pittston Area 12, Crestwood 0

Gianna Adams struck out 11 and was perfect in the circle as Pittston Area won Wednesday’s game on the 10-run rule in 4½ innings.

Crestwood did not get a ball out of the infield.

Adams struck out the first four batters and eight out of nine through three innings.

Pittston Area scored seven runs in the second inning on seven singles. Tori Stephenson had two of the singles and Lili Hintze’s single drove in two runs.

The Lady Patriots had at least one run in each of their at-bats.

Marina Antal and Stephenson each went 2-for-2 with two walks. Antal doubled, scored twice and drove in two runs.

Gabby Roman also had two hits, two runs and two RBI. She had a double.

A total of six players, including Adams and Julia Mehal and Hintze, had two hits as Pittston Area produced 14 as a team. Mehal scored twice. Hintze’s second hit was a double.

Pittston Area 20, Wilkes-Barre Area 0

Gianna Adams walked the first batter she faced then struck out the remaining 12 she faced as Pittston Area won in four innings.

The Lady Patriots scored three runs in the first, four in the second, three more in the third, then 11 in the fourth.

Adams also went 3-for-3 from the leadoff spot.

Gabby Roman drove in five runs, including a grand slam that increased the lead to 16-0 in the fourth.

Tori Stephenson and Julia Long each had both a double and single during the big inning.

The Lady Patriots had 19 hits, including five for extra bases.

Long was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, three runs and three RBI.

Gabby Gorzkowski was 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Julia Mehal had two hits and two RBI.

Lili Hintze scored twice.

Herbert had an RBI triple in the first inning.

Holy Redeemer 9, Wyoming Area 2

Holy Redeemer opened the scoring with six runs in the top of the second inning of Thursday’s loss to visiting Holy Redeemer in a WVC Division 2 game.

The Lady Royals made it 9-0 in the fourth.

Kaia Brown went 3-for-3 and drove in a run, but the Lady Warriors managed just two other hits.

Renee Haddock had a hit and an RBI while Addison Gaylord had a hit and scored a run.

Going into Saturday, the Lady Warriors were fourth in Division 2 with a 2-2 record and 3-4 overall to rank fifth out of nine teams in the race for eight District 2 Class 4A playoff berths.

Lake-Lehman 11, Wyoming Area 1

Lake-Lehman won Tuesday’s WVC Division 2 game at Wyoming Area’s Atlas Field in five innings.

Maggie Hallman, who drove in a run, and Morgan Slusser had the only two hits for the Lady Warriors.
