On consecutive days the following weekend, Adams got the win over New York University, pitching Carnegie Mellon to a 4-1 victory and an 11-0 romp in five innings before NYU won 12-11 in the only game of the series in which Adams did not pitch.
Adams threw a four-hitter in the April 18 series opener when she took a two-hit shutout into the bottom of the seventh. After NYU scored on two hits, Adams ended the game with her 11th and 12th strikeouts, matching her season-high.
