Wyoming Area’s Shelby Stackhouse cleared five feet Jan. 29 to finish first among the 16 girls competing at the Susquehanna High School Invitational indoor track and meet at Susquehanna University.
Sprinter Jalen Rhodes added a second- and third-place finish for the Lady Warriors. She was second out of 39 competitors in the 60-meter dash in 8.09 seconds and third out of 31 in the 200-meter dash in 27.86.
Pittston Area’s Abby Norwillo and Arianna Boccardi each had a third-place finish. Norwillo also had a fourth and Boccardi a ninth.
Norwillo was third of 18 by clearing 11-6 in the pole vault where four of the top five finishers and five of the top nine were from District 2, including winner Madisyn Hawkins from Coughlin. She was also fourth of 15 in the triple jump with 34 feet.
Boccardi was third of 39 in the mile in 5:33.89 and ninth of 43 in the 800-meter run in 2:32.46.
