Duryea’s Ryan Flanagan is back with the Binghamton Junior Senators and back to scoring goals for the junior hockey team.
The 19-year-old Pittston Area graduate helped the Junior Senators comfortably win their first two games with a goal and an assist in the opener, then a goal and two assists the next night.
Flanagan was one of the league’s most dangerous scorers last season, averaging more than a goal per game in both the regular season and playoffs.
Binghamton went 45-1-0-1 to win the Northeast Division and wound up making the final four of the 48-team league.
Flanagan had 38 goals and 26 assists in 37 games last season. He tied for second in the league in game-winning goals with 10, tied for fourth in power-play goals with 14 and tied for ninth in goals scored.
During the playoffs, Flanagan had nine goals and four assists in eight games.
