Avoca/Dupont Little League meeting is March 12
AVOCA — The next monthly meeting of the Avoca/Dupont Little League at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at the Avoca Borough building, 950 Main St.
Among the items to be discussed at this meeting will be planning for the spring season, as well as the regular league business.
All coaches are asked to attend the meeting.
Anyone wishing to volunteer, as well as anyone generally interested in the league, may attend.
WA Lacrosse Parents Association meeting Feb. 28
EXETER — There will be a Wyoming Area Lacrosse Parents Association meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at the Secondary Center, 20 Memorial St.
This will also serve as a second signup session for those unable to attend the first one.
Parents of current players are encouraged to attend. Season fundraising topics will be discussed.
Avoca/Dupont Little League registration
AVOCA — In-person registration for the 2018 Avoca Dupont Little League season will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every Monday and Tuesday in February and every Monday in March.
Online registration runs through Friday, March 30.
Any player from last year may register online for the coming season at the league website: tshq.bluesombrero.com/adll.
Cost to register is $65 for one player and $80 for two or more players from the same family. Payment for online registration may be completed using a credit card or cash or check if paying in person. New players must register in person at one of the in-person registration dates.
Little League sets fundraiser
AVOCA — The third annual Avoca Dupont Little League cash bingo fundraiser will be held Sunday, April 29 at the Queen of the Apostles Church Hall. The doors open at noon and games begin at 1 p.m.
There will be 15 regular games worth $100 each, three special games worth $150 each, and a coverall game worth $250. In addition, there will be a basket raffle and food available for purchase.
